Game 2

April 16, 2011

Patrice Bergeron, calling the shots.

Zdeno Chara was hospitalized overnight and is still expected to play. The Bruins are looking for a big victory and Carey Price will need to prove it wasn’t a fluke. It’s going to be a Hockey Night in Canada, alright.

If the top-line is stifled, then secondary scoring is needed. The second line seems a likely source, as does the third. Really, the Bruins have great depth. Yes, they’re not the most offensive team, but any of their lines are highly capable of producing big and timely goals. I expect that will happen tonight. After much discussion about how to score on Price, I imagine there will be more crease traffic and more shots going high-glove–a place that seems like a weak point for him.

Whether the Habs can sustain or build upon their momentum is another question.

Here we go.
