One of the stranger images from last night. Lucky the Islander behind Paille didn’t get cut.

A somewhat disheartening 3-2 win over the Islanders took place last night. As I noted yesterday, this game was of extremely little importance. It did, if anything, signify that much of the team has checked out until the first round of the playoffs commence. The sole bright spot was the fourth line, which chipped in two goals.

Also, this choice quote from Islanders’ toughman/distorted PIM to playing minutes ratio suspension magnet Trevor Gillies, when speaking of former AHL teammate Shawn Thornton:

“The guy’s ripped up like a bad report card.”

Things I never knew.
